What is the corporate tax rate — and when are advance payments due?

Corporate income tax is 10% (Art. 20 of the Corporate Income Tax Act) and applies to Bulgarian legal entities and to foreign companies with a permanent establishment in Bulgaria. Advance instalments only become due once net sales revenue two years prior exceeds about 153,000 euros — then quarterly, and monthly above about 1.53 million euros. The annual return is filed with the National Revenue Agency (NRA) between 1 March and 30 June of the following year, with the tax payable by the same date. Details and links in our guide.
