How is residence regulated for non-EU citizens?
For short stays, the 90/180-day rule applies to many non-EU citizens. A longer stay requires a residence permit obtained via the Migration Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior. Owning property alone does not create a right of residence. See the residence guide for details.
