What does Sozopol's new stage mean for owners?

Through the EXPAND STRANDJA project under the Interreg programme Bulgaria-Türkiye, the Municipality of Sozopol receives 413,261 € for the open-air stage in front of the cultural centre. The project as a whole totals 923,212 €. The plans include new seats in place of the worn ones, further places for spectators, new lighting, a permanent sound system, and accessible rooms and sanitary facilities for performers. The tender for the construction works has been published. The project runs from 3 February 2026 to 2 February 2028. For owners in Sozopol this means that permanently installed equipment makes the stage usable outside the high season. A cultural programme beyond the season supports demand for short-term lets in the shoulder months. Whether that holds will only become clear from the events calendar once the works are completed.
