Buying off-plan — what should I watch out for?
Buying off-plan means paying in instalments as construction progresses — usually along the acceptance stages Act 14, Act 15 and Act 16. Decisive are the developer's standing and references, a sound preliminary contract with clear deadlines and withdrawal rights, and checking the plot and permits before the first payment.
