How well is Burgas airport connected in winter?

Let us be honest here: Burgas airport currently has no dense year-round service from Central Europe — the winter schedule has noticeable gaps. That is manageable, but you should know it. In the winter half-year there are alternatives: Varna airport one and a half to two hours away by car (depending on the location), plus Plovdiv and the major airports of Sofia and Istanbul — all relatively easy to reach.
