Ahtopol

Ahtopol is the southernmost town on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast — just 17 kilometres north of the Turkish border, on a rocky peninsula at the eastern foot of the Strandzha. Unlike the villages further south, Ahtopol is a town (grad) with permanent infrastructure: the GRAO register counted 1,190 permanent and 1,222 current addresses as of 15 June 2026. The most visited beach is the northern Lardigo beach, and in November 2025 the Tsarevo municipality announced the renewal of the seafront promenade.
