Inflation at 6.1%: what should owners do?
According to the flash estimate of the statistics office NSI of 3 November 2026, consumer prices rose by 1.3 per cent in October on September and by 6.1 per cent on October 2025. In September the annual rate was 5.7 per cent. The harmonised index stands at 6.0 per cent on the year. The estimate rests on about 90 per cent of collected prices; the NSI publishes final figures on 16 November 2026. For owners this means: anyone planning rental income in euro should factor in 6.1 per cent price pressure on maintenance, service charges and trades. Note that only the figures of 16 November are binding. Owners with an indexed lease can use the 6.1 per cent as an argument at the next adjustment and should wait for the final value first.
