How many construction bankruptcies in Bulgaria?

The statistics institute NSI counts 225 new registrations and 12 bankruptcies in construction for the third quarter of 2026. Nationwide, 7,968 legal units were newly registered, 31.0 per cent fewer than in the same quarter a year earlier. 791 units were declared bankrupt, 22.1 per cent fewer than in the third quarter of 2025. Trade and motor-vehicle repair account for 712 of these bankruptcies (90.0 per cent). For buyers this means: the figures show fewer start-ups but no wave of insolvencies, since bankruptcies are falling too. The sector figure of 12 bankruptcies in construction says nothing about an individual developer.
