Do I need to expect venomous animals, jellyfish or sharks in the Black Sea?

Less than in the North Sea or the Baltic. Three fish carry venomous spines: the greater weever, which buries itself in the sand, the common stingray and the black scorpionfish. All three sting only if stepped on or handled, and both the weever and the stingray also live off the German coasts. The lion's mane jellyfish, which causes painful stings in the North Sea and the Baltic, does not occur in the Black Sea. The jellyfish here, the moon jellyfish and the barrel jellyfish, are harmless. There are no sharks dangerous to humans.
