Lozenets

Lozenets sits on Bulgaria's southern Black Sea coast, roughly 60 kilometres south of Burgas and about 6 kilometres north of Tsarevo, the seat of the municipality. The village rests on a low coastal ridge between Kiten and Tsarevo, with elevations running from sea level to just under 50 metres. What began in 1924 as a fishing village has grown into a seasonal resort that never gave itself over to high-rise beach blocks. At the 2011 census the National Statistical Institute counted 560 residents; the municipality later records 564 people with permanent registration. Summer changes that picture entirely, multiplying occupancy several times over. The cadastral territory measures a little under 12.9 square kilometres, so buildable land stays scarce. Anyone looking for a quiet coastal place close to nature will find the opposite of mass tourism here. Svetlana accompanies prospective buyers on the ground and knows the sites between the beach and the hinterland.
