Kiten

Kiten occupies the Urdoviza peninsula on the southern stretch of Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, with a bay on either side. It belongs to the municipality of Primorsko in the Burgas region, and the 2021 census recorded exactly 1,060 residents. That number defines the place. It stays quiet through most of the year and fills up in summer, yet never reaches the wall-to-wall hotel scale of Sunny Beach. Kiten has held national resort status since 1962. Two separate sandy beaches frame the town: Atliman to the north, covering roughly 81,000 square metres, and the southern beach along Urdoviza Bay at about 64,000 square metres. Strandzha Nature Park, the largest protected area in the country, begins right next door, so beach and forest sit within easy reach of each other. On site, Svetlana can show you how the Atliman side differs from the Urdoviza shore.
