Questions and answers · Places on the southern coast
Why does a collection pit cost a place points in the quality-of-life score?
Because it costs money and attention every year, which a sewer connection does not. In the year-round quality-of-life score we therefore deduct two points where a place has no public network, and one point where only part of it is connected. No more than that: the factor belongs in your household budget, but it rarely decides a purchase. Location, accessibility and year-round amenities weigh far more. The classification and its source are shown on every place page, so you can follow the arithmetic.
