Sveti Vlas

Sveti Vlas sits on Bulgaria's southern Black Sea coast, in the Nessebar municipality of Burgas Province. The town occupies the northern edge of a wide bay. Sunny Beach, the large resort, lies at its centre, and the historic Nessebar peninsula closes off the southern end. Both are a short bus or taxi ride away. What gives the place its character is the meeting of sea and mountain: the southern foothills of the Stara Planina run right up to the edge of town, lending Sveti Vlas a greener, cooler hillside setting. That slope is what creates the terraced building with sea views. In the 2021 census, Bulgaria's National Statistical Institute recorded 2,788 residents as of the 7 September reference date; in summer, tourism pushes occupancy well above that. When it comes to choosing a location, Svetlana advises on the ground and knows the individual hillside plots.
